THEMCharacter Name: Princess Zelda (Legally Zelda Hyrule but that sounds dumb)
Character Age: 117
Canon: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Canon Point: Post Game
History/World: HerePersonality: This should be the meat of your application - thorough but not a thesis. Just give us a good idea of who the character is - what they’re like, what makes them tick, how they’ve changed if including CRAU history, how they differ from OU if an AU.
Items: The Shiekah Slate. Assuming that only the Chosen Hero can use the special powers of the slate, it's essentially a fancy digital camera with a map of Hyrule in it.
Powers/skills: As a descendant of the goddess Hylia, Zelda has inherited the sacred power to seal darkness. This specifically means that she can remove Calamity Ganon's magical influence and seal him away. Using Ganon to define 'darkness', she should be able to do the same to any magical entity whose power is rooted in evil, malice or hatred.
This power also gives her light magic, which is poorly defined but allows her to temporarily lose her physical form and become light itself while restraining Ganon. In this form she is able to see and speak telepathically to Link. This ability is only usable in a conflict with said 'darkness', presumably while the sealing power is actively being used.
The awakening of Zelda's power also allows her to hear and see spirits.
As a descendant of the royal family she has also inherited the Triforce of Wisdom. This gives her some protection from magic cast over an area or group, but has not been shown to be effective against magic aimed directly at the princess. The Triforce also grants her specific knowledge of her own world as needed to protect it from Ganon. It is also said to make the holder wiser, so it's likely that her natural intelligence can be partly attributed to the artifact.
It is unclear how or why she has the Bow of Light when Link comes to face Ganon, but as this weapon is a recurring element in the games it's most likely that she summons it from another dimension rather than creating it herself.
Her non-magical skills include reading ancient Shiekah text, horseback riding, and the ability to stand still in freezing water for extended periods of time without passing out... except for that one time.
SAMPLEEvery part of the strange ship is a wonder to Zelda, and it's a delight to inspect every inch of it with nobody to stop her or accuse her of forgetting her duty. (Even thinking such a thing is enough to cause a wave of guilt to wash over her, but she pushes it down.) Today her mission is to uncover the secrets of the "Hydroponic Garden". Simply asking someone how it works is naturally against the rules. She loves the challenge of discovery, even when it's frustrating. Besides, a more practical understanding will help her make sense of the more complicated explanations.
The room is roughly what she expected of an indoor garden, though there are many strange objects and mechanisms in use. The bright lights shining on the plants are strange, but only as strange as those used to illuminate the rest of the ship. She's promised herself to take one apart one day, if she can. Instead she focuses on the soil, kneeling in front of one long tray of short, leafy plants.
There's a smell to the plants, some that are likely used for cooking, but also a general
green smell. She takes a moment, hidden among the greenery, and closes her eyes. In her mind she's back in Hyrule, crawling around a hill with Link, naming every flower she sees. She takes a deep breath of the herb smell, and slowly lets it out. Once her lungs are emptied she opens her eyes and focuses her attention on the base of the plants.
"There's clearly soil," she mutters to herself, "but there's so little here." She reaches out and gently runs her fingers over the small soil patch. "Yet the plants all appear to be propsering. Ah! What's this?" She continues talking to herself, oblivious to anyone who might have entered the room. It's hard to say if she picked up the habit after spending so much time with a silent knight, or if she always talks to herself when she's thinking. Nobody's ever brought it up before.
She's found the lip of the planter, and traces a finger around the circumference before lifting it as carefully as possible less than an inch from its dock. Every move she makes takes the utmost care- she doesn't know what sort of actions might harm the living ship, and she doesn't dare risk harming the plants. It's an incredible feat, growing in such a small place with all their delicate roots exposed, flourishing where life shouldn't be able to exist. These little herbs are an inspiration.
Peering under the planter, she gets a jolt.
"Oh! It's only roots. But how can it..." She turns the thing slightly to see inside the housing, leaning in close.
"Incredible... But surely it can't be ordinary water. Plants take nutrients from the soil, and without more soil..."
This narrated examination lasts a good 5 minutes before she's ready to stand and move on to the next piece of the puzzle.
